Description:
  • Responsible for performing and maintaining asset investment information, monthly cost and schedule metrics, risk registers, earned value metrics and other portfolio databases in accordance with the project management processes and perform other duties assigned by management. Closely work with project managers, functional managers and provide assistance with meeting project/program goals/objectives
  • This position may be responsible for reviewing work performed by others. Excellent people skills and ability to work well with others in a fast paced project and resource management environment

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Maintain, analyse and report asset Investment information like monthly metrics, committed dollars, project maturity and DOA reports to staff and executives
  • Maintain project information in Power Plant like establishing and reporting project forecasts across the portfolio
  • Assist in preparing reports for monthly variance reporting
  • Developing and maintaining technical data in spreadsheets and databases
  • Preparing information for audit or compliance requirements
  • Prepare and maintain earned value reports and charts per the suggested process and communicate trends to key stakeholders
  • Portfolio schedule overview
  • Monitor Primavera Long term schedules for resources and attainment
  • Perform other duties assigned by the department manager

Knowledge & Experience Required:
  • Five years of relevant analyst experience with gas utility industry desired
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products is required including Excel and Access database
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power Plant and Primavera is desired. Earned Value experience is highly preferred
  • PMP or CCP/PSP/EVP certification is desired
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills capabilities; Highly organized
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver s license with a safe driving history required

Qualifications Required:
  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Engineering
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to administer, analyse, interpret, create, initiate, resolve and implement corporate policies, operating practices and procedures
  • Proficient skills in the use of a variety of computer software including the proven ability to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects of significant scope
  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verify data and conduct independent complex analysis, and identify inconsistencies
  • Ability to take directions and complete assignments coordinating with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data and statistics, evaluate, produce complex reports and make recommendations based on independent complex analysis
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to the organization; may include presentation skills
  • May act in a lead role for project/work assignment by providing guidance and/or direction to more junior level analysts
